Vivamusic.com, Music Junction, Form Strategic Partnership
Leading music lifestyle network Vivamusic.com and music retailer Music Junction collaborate to enhance each other's services
Singapore, 06 December, 2000 - Leading innovative music lifestyle network, Vivamusic.com, today announced its strategic alliance with Music Junction, a local music retail chain. Under the agreement, Music Junction will put their wide range of music CDs online at Vivamusic.com's website, and create a music surfing zone with terminals installed by Vivamusic.com at their nine stores nationwide.
“This partnership showcases Vivamusic.com's expertise in Internet-enabling music businesses,” said Mark Lai, CEO, Vivamusic.com. “Music Junction customers will enjoy instant access to Vivamusic.com's full suite of services and information, and we will have access to Music Junction's customers as well. We are currently talking to other partners in the region to join our retail network so as to enjoy greater economies of scale.”
The alliance will bring both companies together to create a music surfing zone at Music Junction stores throughout Singapore. The first such surfing zone in Singapore can be found at Vivamusic Hub, the Hub for today's music entertainment lifestyle. In its efforts to be more than a music CD retailer, Music Junction stores will feature the surfing zone, which will be equipped with terminals installed by Vivamusic.com. Music Junction's customers will have high speed broadband access to a whole array of Vivamusic.com's music-related content, from the latest hits and popular music videos to interviews with famous music personalities.

Vivamusic.com recently introduced CD and custom CD sales online. This partnership with Music Junction will add new titles that complement Vivamusic.com's selection, increasing the titles that consumers can choose from. Thus, Vivamusic.com will have a wider variety of titles and Music Junction will have a new site to sell its music from. Moreover, Music Junction's customers will have access to Vivamusic.com's exclusive products like custom CDs and albums from the latter's network of independent record labels.
