Vivamusic.com Announces New Features and Record Number of Hits
Revamp and new features offer users ability to create custom CDs online
Singapore, 06 December 2000 - Leading innovative music lifestyle network, Vivamusic.com, today announced a record six million hits for the month of October 2000, a testament to its standing as a premier music network. This record number of hits can be attributed to its recent revamp of the Company's website. In its continuous effort to woo more music-lovers, Vivamusic.com will be introducing new features this month, among them the ability to create custom CDs online.
As promised at the launch of the Vivamusic Hub - Asia's first true “click and mortar” hybrid store - the Vivamusic.com website now features not only the sale of music CDs, but also custom CDs. Vivamusic Hub recently introduced the Vivamusic CD Makers, digital kiosks that allow customers to preview songs, and create and purchase custom compilation CDs. The company has extended this feature online - customers can now experience the convenience of creating and purchasing custom CDs on the website.
To facilitate CD sales online, an e-payment system has been installed, enabling customers to make purchases using credit cards and charge cards. Vivamusic.com uses Citibank's e-payment system, which has a global presence, to facilitate future transactions from other parts of the world. It is also working with Trivnet, a provider of comprehensive online payment platforms, to give customers the ability to pay for their purchases through their Internet Service Provider (ISP). Their purchases will be reflected in their ISP's bill.

We will certainly continue to improve ourselves, to provide our customers with the best online music experience, be it watching music videos or purchasing music online,” said Mark Lai, CEO Vivamusic.com. “To capture and hold our visitors' attention, we must constantly keep up with the trends, giving our site new looks, adding new features, as well as making it easy to read and access.”
Visitors to Viviamusic.com's revamped website will experience a music site very different from the previous one. While the previous design gave a notion of festivity, the revamped site is given a minimalist treatment - it is now less 'noisy' - with features rearranged to make it easier for visitors to view and access the wide range of music content available.
To give its customers greater options while shopping online, Vivamusic.com recently announced its partnership with 2SkyMall.com, a Cyber Mall that uses Esso and Mobile service stations and Cheers stores as collection centres. Users are given an additional payment avenue: they can now pay at the point of collection. This alliance will encourage more customers, especially those without credit cards or those who are uncomfortable to pay online, to shop at Vivamusic.com and 2SkyMall.com.
“To retain as well as attract more customers, we must not only introduce features that they want, but also make it easy for them to pay and to get their goods,” said Mark. “We will continue to explore additional ways to make virtual shopping an enjoyable experience for our customers.”
