Vivamusic.com is ASEAN's Sole Distributor of Sanyo's Smallest Digital Music Player
Singapore, 08 December 2000 - In its continuous effort to enhance the music lifestyle experience, Vivamusic.com has brought in one of the world's smallest digital music players, the Sanyo SSP-PD7. Digital music data can be easily downloaded into the player's memory card from the Internet using a PC. In addition, users need not worry about upgrading as the player uses a Multi-Decoding system, which makes it compatible with future advancements in audio compression technology and different audio compression formats. It is believed that the superior performance of AAC with its capabilities of 5-channel signals with other efficiencies will gain much popularity in the next few years.
Mark added, "We believe that such players will replace CD and MD players in the future. MP3 player's worldwide market demand in 1999 exceeded one million units, and is expected to hit seventeen million units within the next five years."
The Sanyo SSP-PD7 uses a multi-decoder system to play audio compression format files of MPEG-1 Layer 3 (MP3) and MPEG-2 Advanced Audio Coding (AAC). It is not only small and lightweight, but it also provides a high sound quality playback of up to AAC-128kbps. With memory storage on a removable 32MB Multi-Media Card, it provides a good length of playback time between 60mins at AAC-60kbps to 30mins at AAC-128kbps without interruption to the music even when receiving shock. The player made its debut in Japan in spring this year, and was later introduced in the USA this past summer. It is currently selling well in both countries.
