Faithless | Sunday 8pm
This second album of Faithless in 1998 is a combined effort of Sister Bliss, Maxi Jazz, Jamie Catto, Rollo and Dave Randall, which sees the band moving forward sonically and lyrically, while continuing to develop a distinctive combination of technology and tradition. This album also features Boy George and recent star Dido, sister of Rollo, who has just released her debut album, No Angel, which has scored with millions around the world.
With melodies and beats way before its time, Sunday 8PM leans towards a deeper and darker edge, exploring new depths while remaining true to their original ethos: the spirit of club and dance. The hybrid of musical sounds, electronic productions and haunting vocals and lyrics make the theme of personal relationships in this album all the more reveling; the theme, more intense and focussed. Take your time with them.
