"Fashion Festival 2001 poised to position Singapore as a regional fashion capital."
Singapore's first ever fashion festival will take place from March 16 to 31. This event will set to become an annual festival to position Singapore as the region's fashion capital.
The fashion festival will showcase spring/summer collections from international brand names, up-and-coming couture designers from Paris in various fashion events.
Apart from the traditional fashion shows, there will also be an exhibition of fashion illustrations by world class fashion illustrator, Rene Gruau. With 100 original illustrations covering all fashion styles of this century, this exhibition will definitely shed a new light on the festival.
Expect first in the region fashion product
launches that will not be available elsewhere in the region.
Basically this festival will enable the masses to experience fashion
shows that is often occurring on the catwalks of Milan, Paris,
London and New York. Names such as Kenzo, Diesel, Armani Exchange,
Atsuro Tayama and the FJ Benjamin Group of labels will make their
appearance at the fashion festival. The fashion festival is
organised by MS Twilight and it is in support of the Singapore
Tourism Board.
