Looking stunningly svelte and sexy, the dame of Madison Avenue literally took the crowd's breath away at the Harbour Pavilion. Clad in an ultra glam long overcoat over a two-piece 'outfit' underneath, Cheyne received a dismal amount of cheers when she appeared on stage.
However, this girl rock! She delivered five of her songs from the Polyester Embassy album and she sounded exactly like on her record! Backed up by four leggy 'models' as dancers whom she picked herself, the set almost looked like a flesh parade. With their very explicit dressing, most of the guys looked as if they were drooling rather than enjoying the show.
The hall exploded when Don't Call Me Baby came on to the speakers (probably this is the only song these kids know by Madison Avenue). They danced and cheered as she raised the temperature. Barely an hour later, Cheyne and her dancers left the stage to make way for Mel C.
I noticed that almost half of the audience streaming out slowly from Harbour Pavilion after Madison Avenue's set. I was very tempted to leave but I had to stay to witness the 'greatness' of Mel C.
