About Ayumi... Ayumi Hamasaki (21) was born in Fukuoka Prefecture. At a tender age of 7, she shot her first advertisement. Upon completion of high school, she adjourned to Tokyo and joined Sunmusic to start her acting career. Initially, she acted in TV dramas and appeared in variety shows that did not gain her fame apparently. To achieve hype, she often clad in swimsuit for photo-shoots.
Despite those reveals, it was singing that actually made her well-known. In Sept. 1995, she changed her image and released a single, Nothing From Nothing. It had mostly RAP songs that were then popular and thus an immense boost to her singing career. She even went to New York in the summer of 97 for vocal lessons.
Her confident return resulted in the release of her debut maxi single, Poker Face in Apr. 1998. Her singing career then advance. The first part of Ayumi Hamasaki Concert Tour 2000A has already begun on Apr. 28 at Tokyo Bay NK Hall that will feature songs found in the album, LOVEppears. Whereas, the second part of her concert tour starting on Jun. 21 at Yokohama Arena will see her singing songs since her debut to the latest maxi single, Seasons in the form of Broadway Musicals. These days, is no for her to earn popularity by wearing skimpy clothings but rather in Mar. this year, she daringly released 4 remix albums continuously. In Apr., she struck attention again by releasing three new maxi singles, Vogue, Faraway and Seasons each in a new month. Success may not come easy for her but she still stick with this rule No usage of English lyrics but only in song titles. As she firmly believes and prefers to express feelings honestly in a fluent language.
