The second issue is just as good as the first. It illustrates how well the quintet plays together. Davis, John Coltrane the tenor sax man, Red Garland the pianist, Paul Chambers on bass and Philly Joe Jones the drummer. Together, they are the best band in their jazz generation. Hear them play "If I Were A Bell", "You’re My Everything" and listen out for "Woody ‘n You," where Davis plays with a mute.
