The second follow-up to the Australian/New Zealand duo does not disappoint from its first installment. John Simmons and Merenia have come up with four new tracks which will be included in the upcoming album, Phisting the Camel, which includes a reggae remix of Maybe You'll Get Some (the original of which can be heard on their debut album, Breathe Deeply).
The unique title of the new album is actually a complex word play from the Greek word 'phistis' meaning belief. The camel, besides being a 'ship of the desert', is also sometimes known as a rather large scapegoat of sorts, so Phisting the Camel could be considered as believing the underdog or working for the oppressed.
Besides the remix, there are also the World Edit and Techno Mix of Cependant (French for However, where Simon Critchley, a Professor of Philosophy, can also be heard) and a House Remix of A Little Less Love, which features the lovely vocals of Maori Diva Merenia singing in English and French. The addition of instruments in the tracks complement the muscular beats and panoramic grooves which give way to surprising sounds. Look out for Phisting the Camel which will be coming your way soon.
