A cross between Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, Paula Cole and singers of that
genre. She has the characteristics that each singer has. Put them together
you have Mary Black. This Irish singer has been in the industry for more
than 16 years now.
This album signifies her presence in the music industry. It is a collection of
some of the songs from her previous albums. She duets with Eleanor McEvoy
for the song, "Only A Woman's Heart". They blend nicely together for
the track, which was a hit for McEvoy. Other than that, each track on the
album seems to tell a different story. With lyrics cleverly written, each
song comes distinctly different from the other.
"The Moon and St Christopher", "Katie", "Babes in the Wood", "No
Frontiers", and "Ellis Island" are worth a listen.
