Put two legendary stars together and out comes an album too good
to resist. The two giants of blues guitar bring back five
hits from B.B.King’s longstanding career and Eric
Clapton’s outstanding guitar playing.B.B.King first met Eric Clapton in 1967 on the stage
of New York City’s legendary Café Au Go Go, where the latter
had gone to see Al Kooper’s new band, and >spotted
King amongst the audience. Nearly three decades later,
the two blues and rock icons have a strong friendship based
on mutual respect and a love for the music which brought them
recognition in the industry. "Riding With The King" is an
extraordinary collection of classics which was recorded over
a three-month period in Los Angeles early this year.
Some of the tracks to look out for include the title track, "Riding
With The King", "Key To The Highway", and "Hold On I’m Coming".
The spontaneity between the duo makes the album a perfect
showcase of their artistry and camaraderie further enforced
by two lifetimes of dedication. Only to be appreciated if you
are a true guitar and blues fan.
