Pink | Can’t Take Me Home
The latest R&B/pop artist to emerge from the hugely successful, LaFace Records camp, Pink’s singing career is in the pink of health. Releasing her debut album, "Can’t Take Me Home", this album contains several strong tracks, in terms of melody and lyrics too. The theme of the songs in this album is about love, yet, this perky singer who describes herself as a very extreme person sings about love in such a truthful manner, that it does not contain none of the lovey-dovey stuff that is on the market.
Not convinced, listen to her hit single "There You Go", with lyrics saying " Please don't come around talkin' bout that you love me, Cause that love shit just ain't for me". Get the feel of this lady yet? Pink’s powerful soprano, which is capable of taking sharp dives and hairpin turns through multiple octaves somehow gives you the idea that the vocal belongs to a black R&B artiste. Yet, this perky white singer combines her powerful vocals and her own "extreme" nature to produce an album that is every bit of herself
