Atomic Kitten | See Ya
This is interesting. A number of girl bands have mushroomed and
they sound suspiciously like B*Witched or the Spice Girls. All of
them propogating the same feminist values, singing the same
teenybopper sunshine tunes. Kerry, Liz and Nat make up Atomic
Kitten which personifies this to the core. Their latest single,
“See Ya’, is a perfect symbol of girl power.
As all girl bands go, the tunes are catchy and likeable and their
music videos come accompanied with well synchronised dance steps.
What is slightly surprising about these three girls is their synergy
and enthusiasm for their fans as well as their music videos. Their
efforts in front of the camera are commendable. While their melodies
are typical of a teen band, there are old fashioned disco beats which
make you sit up and actually listen to them sing. A lot of energy oozing
out from them and this is a group that can well make it big if they brush
up on their vocals. |
