Cleopatra | Stepping Out
Perhaps the only time you would have listened to Cleopatra
might be when their songs was featured in a compilation.
Their debut album, “Comin’Atcha” was filled with tunes that
was basically teeny boppy, a good example would be their theme,
“Cleopatra’s Theme”.Their latest release “Stepping Out” displays a much more mature
sounding group. Cleopatra consists of three sisters from Manchester,
England, Cleopatra, Zainam and Yonah. Inspired by gospel, hip-hop,
rap, house and soul, the sisters have been singing together for the
last five years. This album has them belting out tracks like “Press
Here To Start”, “Who’s Your Woman” and “You Can’t Be In My Life”.
They sound distinctively like R&B groups TLC and Destiny’s Child,
but with a little youthfulness to it. Afterall, the members are
teenagers!
