From a successful debut album, “Middle of Nowhere” which racked up sales in excess of 8 million worldwide back in 1997, the three Hanson brothers, Isaac, Taylor and Zac are back with their sophomore album, This Time Around. Retaining its catchy melodies and exuberant singing, yet exploring a more developed style, This Time Around shows that the Hanson have grown up. The youngest one, Zac, was only 11 years old then, but is now well into his teens. This album features heavier guitar sound, especially on three tracks featuring player Jonny Lang, but also softer moments with keyboards and gospel choir. Title Track “This Time Around” is a song that is represents the new direction that the Hanson are taking and is a more rock and roll track that shows off some remarkable complex chord structure.
