Hear'Say
Hear'Say are the latest pop sensation to hit the UK and already they are full of attitude and quite an opinionated lot too. Before entering the No. 1 spot with their debut first single, 'Pure and Simple', the group made comments about S Club & and the Spice Girls when the single sold a record-breaking 160,995 copies on the first day after its release. It made Hear'say officially bigger than the Spice Girls, whose biggest hit '2 Become 1' sold 34,000 copies on it's first day.
Their success has grown ten-fold and so famous that they were besieged by 5000 fans at an autograph session at a music store in Coventry, England. Perhaps they have a lot to thank for their stint on television. Now, what do Hear'Say and Bardot have in common? Both groups were the simulation of a TV show called Popstars. Thousands of wannabe hopefuls all over Britain auditioned to be a popstars and the final five, Noel Sullivan, Suzanne Shaw, Kym Marsh the famous mom from Wigan, Londoners Danny Foster and Myleene Klass landed in Hear'Say.
Prior to their popdom, all members of Hear'Say had a bit of dabble in music or show business except Danny. Myleene, 22 is the oldest and she is the musical pedigree who plays the piano, harp and violin and started singing way before she could remember. She has sung with .d. Lang, Michael Ball and Sir Cliff Richard. Noel from Cardif did 44 concerts in 27 American states with the Welsh Male Choir while Kym released a single called One Kiss when she was 13. You might have remembered the sexy blonde from the Abba tribute band, The Right Stuff and she is 19-year-old Suzanne who is the babe and baby of the group.
Get set to be amazed and bemused by the band's incredible harmony vocals and perhaps their next single, 'Show Me The Way To Your Love' will make waves for you if the first made a bypass. Pop punters have already made bets that debut album by Hear'Say will be a chart breaking one. The album will be released on 30 April in shops near you.
