Think the theme song for local drama "Spin", then think "Not Alone" by
The Ordinary People.Like most bands which evolve with time and genre trends, the final
lineup you see today is 5 ½ years old, although the band was formed 13 years ago.
The outfit maintains "The Ordinary People" was not, as often thought by others,
named after the award-winning film by Robert Redford in 1980. It was something unassuming,
something which their first keyboardist had thought of as a symbol of the band wanting the
music to speak for themselves. Reviews have compared them to Soul Asylum, REM, and even the
great Neil Young, of which are also The Ordinary People's musical influences.
This is their second album after 2 ½ years of hard work; an eclectic mix of folk rock and
pop, plus a dash of warmth and passion in their music. With 11 unforgettable tracks in :
«When Stars Collide», this is one group you will definitely want to hear more of in time to come
