By Fildza | 18 07 2000Hetty Sarlene is 16 years of age and was born and bred in Singapore. Hetty made history when she became one of the few artistes to be signed to a label in Malaysia.
Hetty started singing when she was just 8 years old! She entered a lot of competitions and began to win them. She even beat the older contestants while she was at it. It was so bad that some did not want to participate when they found out that Hetty is vying for the same title. She even represented Singapore in a few singing competitions! At the recent Asian Song Festival held in Kuala Lumpur, she was spotted by Iman Wan, a composer and straight away was offered a contract with the NSR label. That marks the start of her singing career.
A student with Boon Lay Secondary School, she is due to take her N Levels soon. Even in school her talent was so obvious that she was asked to perform in numerous school functions.
On March this year, her debut album was released. Entitled “Hetty Sarlene”, album comprises of pop, R&B and ballad tracks. For someone so young, she exudes maturity in her album. Check her out.
