Plainsunset was formed in 1994 and has since gone through a number of changes in line-up. Currently, there's Jon on vocals/guitars, Nizam on bass, Ronny on drums and Sham on guitars. Their first record was released under Straits Records entitled “Runaway”. Their second release, “Love Songs for the Emotionally Wounded” will be launched in Zouk Club, Singapore on the 21st of July.

The band is quite a 'veteran' in the local music scene. They have played in shows at Tower Records, HMV, Youth Park, The Substation and Insomnia Café, among others. Playing a blend of punk and indie rock, they are trying to achieve their own sound.

Plainsunset has just finished their mini tour in New Zealand with other local NZ bands. They have plans to record another CD in the future. They will also be featured in a compilation with other bands under the Mohegan Records label, coming soon. The band was also featured in the 10 years Substation CD, released last year.
